The goal of Pitstop is not to replace human coaches. Our mission is to scale human potential by creating AI Avatars based on expert human coaches. Your AI Avatar is designed to free you up for work that actually requires a human touch while expanding your ability to help more people. You can always provide direct coaching sessions when clients need deeper support, and we're enhancing the in-app coaching experience with live video and voice functionality in 2026. Plus, your AI Avatar becomes a powerful lead generation tool, introducing new clients to your coaching style and naturally funneling them toward your premium 1:1 services e.g. we will facilitate human 1on1 and group coaching via the app in 2026.

We believe the best coaching is from human experts. However, research shows that AI Avatars can be effective. This is important in order to democratize coaching. A 2024 study found that participants built similar moderately high levels of working alliance with both AI and human coaches, with no significant difference between treatments. Many participants actually report feeling more comfortable being vulnerable with AI coaches due to reduced judgment. Research from Stanford University reinforces this effectiveness. Professor James Landay's team built an AI fitness coach that combined large language models with professional motivational interviewing techniques, successfully guiding users to identify past successes and co-create personalized plans. In controlled testing, participants were "blown away by how good it was." A study from Columbia University found similar results, with participants reporting satisfaction and trust levels in AI coaches comparable to human coaches.

We are working on our AI Avatars so they excel at accountability through consistent check-ins, progress tracking, and systematic follow-ups that remember every commitment you make. They will use their coach's proven accountability frameworks to ask tough questions about missed goals and celebrate progress, while being available 24/7 for real-time accountability moments when clients need them most.

Pitstop is developing a platform that will have multiple safety layers:
• Coaches review and approve AI Avatar responses during setup.
• Built-in content filters immediately detect and block harmful language, inappropriate suggestions, or attempts to discuss self-harm, illegal activities, or other dangerous topics.
• The system automatically redirects conversations back to constructive coaching territory.
• Users can report concerns, and we maintain audit trails for continuous improvement.
• You have complete control over your AI Avatar's coaching methodology, conversation topics, and client interactions. You set the boundaries, approve the training content, and can update your avatar's responses at any time.

All client conversations and data are stored securely using enterprise-grade encryption and security protocols. We comply with GDPR and international data protection standards. You own your client relationships and all data generated through interactions with your AI Avatar. We're providing the platform infrastructure, not claiming ownership of your intellectual property or client information. Client data is never used to train other coaches' AI Avatars or shared with third parties. Each AI Avatar operates in isolation with access only to its specific coach's approved content and methodologies.

The creation of your AI Avatar typically takes 4 weeks from initial setup to launch. This includes training your AI Avatar on your coaching style and content, reviewing responses, and fine-tuning to ensure it represents your approach authentically. There is no set minimum of content. The most valuable content is non-public redacted meeting notes or recordings. The more training materials you can provide, the more accurate your AI Avatar will be.

We expect a time commitment of at least 1 hour per month. You are the best person to help us improve your AI Avatar. In addition, you are the best person to market your AI Avatar to your followers and/or contacts at corporate prospects – and you are incentivized to do so. The more time you invest the more likely you will earn more revenue.

Neither Pitstop or the coaches receive any upfront payments (for onboarding or coaching sessions). The partnership is based on a win-win revenue share. This ensures our interests are aligned. Each calendar month, Pitstop will calculate a total revenue pool from all subscription fees generated by users' engagement with AI Avatars. The revenue pool will be net of platform delivery costs, which include but are not limited to app store commissions, payment processing fees (e.g. Stripe), taxes, refunds, chargebacks, or other direct costs associated with the delivery of the service. The distribution of the revenue pool will be usage-based. That is, each Coach's share will be determined by the total messages sent to that Coach's AI Avatar compared to the total messages sent across all AI Avatars on the Pitstop platform during the payment period.

Yes. These will be basic in 2025 and will scale to full analytics dashboards with comprehensive performance metrics. We will work with coaches to improve insights over time.
